Conquering my Fear!

Yes I was worried, I had the honour to speak on radio for the first time and very nervous about making a mistake.

Tony and Dennis helped me at 4OUR (101.5) while speaking to about 8000 listeners with about 50% being business’s. Initially I was scared and worried that it was such a different environment from what I am used to. In reality I had fun, and a simple conversation.

While I was at the station, the telephone rang with comments being made on the need for business education and shortage of skills to Tony (main announcer).

After I left the radio station, the topic of conversation on radio was “Greymouse”, “Education ”, “skills shortage” ... was still going 1 hour later.... I heard this as while driving back to the office. I must admit being “excited” and “humbled” at the same time. I will not forget this experience, thank you Tony and Dennis.

While driving back to the office I listened to the ongoing discussion, helping more and more listeners. What is awesome is the capability to help so many more business owners in one go, it’s exciting.

We introduced the next speaking event teaching about the skills shortage and options available to businesses. This next event is at the Caboolture Business Enterprise Centre (CBEC) on the 28th November 2007

Come along and participate, I promise you will learn at least one new fact.
